Joint TTC-BGST Statement
With effect from 14 July 2025, Biblical Graduate School of Theology (BGST) and Trinity Theological College (TTC) will discontinue offering the Joint Diploma in Theological Studies (DipTS).
The Joint DipTS was launched in January 2017 to make available the strengths of both institutions so that students could take courses at either institution to complete the requirements of the programme. Since that time, there have been 7 graduates from BGST and 5 graduates from TTC. Some have gone on to further theological studies. We trust that, with their equipping, the graduates have gone on to bear good witness for Christ in their workplaces, and/or help their pastors in providing leadership of their local churches.
The Joint DipTS programme proved beneficial for nearly a decade to students of both schools, and also demonstrated how local seminaries may engage in Gospel-partnerships for the edification of the wider Christian community. The circumstances for which the programme was of maximum benefit have changed in the intervening years. Both schools recognise that the Joint DipTS has served its purposes and reached the end of its divinely appointed season. The conclusion of such a season in no way mean the cessation of fellowship or preclusion of future forms of BGST-TTC collaboration.
While both schools will no longer be admitting new students into the Joint DipTS, current students enrolled in the programme will continue their studies as usual. The Diploma and/or academic credits earned will be counted towards the fulfilment of any further programme taken in either school in the usual way.
