Dr Lim Teck Peng represented TTC at the 30th Anniversary celebration of Shandong Theological Seminary (STS), held on 1st and 2nd of November 2017. He was also invited to speak at the seminar organised to commemorate the work of Bishop Wang Shenyin.
Rev Samuel Wang delivered a paper on “A Comparison of John Calvin’s Theology of Baptism to Martin Luther” at the Asian Institute of Calvin Studies (AICS) on 21 October 2017. The lecture was attended by an audience comprising pastors from the Presbyterian Church, as well as students and faculty members of Trinity Theological College.
On Tuesday 17 October 2017, TTC had the honour of hosting the Right Reverend Dr Samy Fawzy Shehata, the Area Bishop of North Africa and Dean of St Mark Pro-Cathedral Alexandria, who spoke on the Church of Egypt: her Past, Present and Future.
On Saturday, 30 September 2017, about 150 people gathered at the Trinity Theological College chapel to attend a conference on ‘Justice and the Common Good’. The conference was organized by Ethos Institute for Public Christianity in collaboration with seven theological schools and Bible colleges in Singapore –Baptist Theological Seminary, Biblical Graduate School of Theology, Discipleship Training Centre, East Asia School of Theology, Singapore Bible College, TCA College and TTC.
Rev Dr Leonard Wee was at Oxford University (30 Aug to 21 Sep, 2017) for the second of his post-doctoral research residency, which is a 4-year programme arranged between TTC and Langham Partnership.
