Works of Mr Lim Tze Peng at TTC

We have 11 pieces of Mr Lim Tze Peng’s work at TTC.

The Cultural Medallion winner recipient who passed away at the age of 103 on Mon 3 Feb 2025 is believed to have made more than 20,000 works of art in his lifetime, and we are privileged to have some of Mr Lim’s paintings, including one which reminds us of our college’s history.

When we enter the library, our eyes are drawn to Mr Lim’s painting. His depiction of TTC’s old chapel at Mount Sophia is displayed behind the counter near the library entrance. The large painting in a frame 1.7m wide was dated three years before TTC moved to its current location at Upper Bukit Timah.

In our collection are also two other ink and colour paintings, and a Chinese calligraphy series on the Beatitudes. Below are photographs and details of the 11 pieces of Mr Lim Tze Peng’s work.
