Inter College Games 2016

“All work and no play
makes Jack a dull boy.”

So the saying goes. Similarly, a healthy Christian balances both work and play. So play we did! The TTC community gathered in full force on Friday, 4 March, to participate in the Inter College Games 2016. Held at ACS (I), the other participating colleges were Singapore Bible College (SBC), Baptist Theological Seminary (BTS) and East Asia School of Theology (EAST).

The atmosphere was charged with excitement. The day kicked off with dodge ball, with teams made up of players from the different colleges. Other games included captain’s ball, soccer, Quiz Whiz and speed typing. It was a day of fun and fellowship. To top it off, TTC emerged champion for captain’s ball!

But more than winning or losing, it was the spirit of sportsmanship that stood out. “The games were carried out in a very good spirit. Teams shook hands and congratulated each other after each game. What’s more important than winning is building the relationships,” says Dr Leow Theng Huat.

And most of all, it was a wonderful day of bonding with students and faculty from TTC and the other schools. “It’s nice to see the community coming together, cheering each other on. It reminds us that there is more to life than academics,” reflects Gerhardine Foo, a first-year student.
