Chinese New Year Celebrations 2016

Inscribing Chinese, calligraphy, tossing Yu Sheng and enjoying fellowship over a sumptuous lunch, the TTC community gathered on 17 February (Wed) at the TTC Dining Hall for its annual CNY celebration. Led by the Community Living Committee of Jeremy James and Lei Chi Kin, the celebration program also consisted of table games for the participants to imbibe in the festive atmosphere.

The sense of a close bond between the different members of the staff and students was not lost on the freshmen who participated in the Chinese New Year lunch for the first time.

“The entire activity brought out the special feeling of community and I especially enjoyed the fact that the non-Chinese members were able to be incorporated into the celebrations as well,” enthused first-year student Chang Chong Tien.

A special arrangement this year included the pairing up of family groups for more intimate sharing and relationship building and the third-year students Gabriel Ling and Emanuel Goh reprised their roles as MCs.
