Dr Lim Teck Peng represented TTC at the 30th Anniversary celebration of Shandong Theological Seminary (STS), held on 1st and 2nd of November 2017. He was also invited to speak at the seminar organised to commemorate the work of Bishop Wang Shenyin.
Rev Dr Leonard Wee was at Oxford University (30 Aug to 21 Sep, 2017) for the second of his post-doctoral research residency, which is a 4-year programme arranged between TTC and Langham Partnership.
Dr Jeffrey Truscott recently attended the congress of Societas Liturgica, an international ecumenical society of liturgical scholars and others involved in the teaching and practice of Christian worship. Meeting under the theme of “Symbol of What We Are: Liturgical Perspectives on Sacramentality” this year’s congress took place August 7 to 12 at KU Leuven, the Dutch-speaking arm of the University of Leuven in Belgium.
Rev Dr Leonard Wee conducted a training session on Methods of Intertextuality at the ATESEA Methodology Seminar on 11 July 2017. This seminar is aimed at equipping the doctoral students in the various ATESEA theological schools with the skills and in-depth knowledge that would facilitate their own research in the various disciplines.
Rev Dr Jimmy Tan presented a paper at the Biennial meeting of the Society for the Study of Christian Spirituality. The paper was entitled Cultivating Unceasing Prayer in a Southeast Asian Theological College. The meeting marked the 25th anniversary of the Society, whose purpose is to foster study and scholarly exchange in the field of Christian Spirituality.
