Rev. Yap Seok Chin attended the 3rd NIFEA (New International Financial and Economic Architecture) Asia Consultation held in Taiwan from 20 to 25 November 2017. This is the 3rd and final gathering of a series of consultations organised by the Council of World Missions (CWM).

Participants from 7 countries, namely, India, Myanmar, Malaysia, Singapore, Hong Kong, Taiwan and South Korea gathered at Rinari, Taiwan for the meeting. The representatives from Singapore were Elder Wang Kim Meng of the Synod of the Presbyterian Church in Singapore, Rev. David Lim and Ms Toh Xiu Yong of the Presbyterian Community Services and Rev. Yap Seok Chin from TTC.

Each country’s representatives presented the implementation and progress of their action plans developed after the 2nd NIFEA consultation for conservation of ecology and the eradication of poverty.

CWM will gather and consolidate all the action plans and feedback to work out ‘A Way Forward’ paper for continuing action.
