Rev Yap Seok Chin was sent by the Presbyterian Church in Singapore as one of the three representatives to attend the Council of World Mission (CWM)’s Second Colloquium on New International Finance and Economic Architecture (NIFEA) held in Kuala Lumpur from 25 to 30 November 2016. The Colloquium was attended by 10 CWM members from South Asia (Bangladesh and India) and East Asia (Hong Kong, Korea, Malaysia, Myanmar, Singapore and Taiwan). The discussion topics focused on eradication of poverty, alternative financing and advocacy with the aim to develop action plans to address issues of poverty, inequality and ecological destruction.
