Synopsis

A survey of the Old Testament (OT) books in their literary, historical and theological contexts, highlighting the message of each book, the broad strokes of OT history, key motifs and themes, the importance of the OT for understanding the New Testament (NT) and the relevance of the OT to Christian living and ministry.

Biodata

Dr Yeong Suet Ming is a PhD candidate in Old Testament studies at Wycliffe College, University of Toronto. She holds a Master of Arts in Theological Studies from Regent College in Vancouver, Canada. Before pursuing theological education, she practiced as a medical doctor, serving as a senior resident physician in the Department of Ophthalmology at the National University Hospital in Singapore. Her journey into theological studies began at CDCM, the predecessor of Equip. She and her husband worship at Barker Road Methodist Church. Outside of academia, she enjoys birdwatching, cycling, and sewing.
