Our course seeks to understand better Paul\u2019s missionary journeys so as to draw crucial lessons for our work and witness as the Christian Church. The current course is the second part of this endeavour, focusing on Paul\u2019s Second and Third Missionary Journeys. This course will also be utilising archaeological data to illuminate our understanding of the settings and issues of his missionary work, and the pastoral and theological responses that he formulated. It is also hoped that those who are planning to visit, or lead groups to visit, biblical lands will find much benefit in this course.<\/p>\n
Dr Tan Kim Huat started teaching New Testament (NT) studies at TTC in 1996. He has taught both undergraduate and postgraduate courses and supervised many students for doctorates in NT studies. Any NT topic enthuses him but his main area of interest is the emergence of Christianity from a Jewish matrix. Kim also has a strong interest in strengthening theological education in the region. He has been involved in the work of the first-ever regional consortium of colleges, ATESEA (Association for Theological Education in South East Asia), and has served formerly as the Chairman of the ATESEA Board of Trustees.<\/p>\n
