Call for Help <\/em><\/strong><\/p>\n

1 YHWH, hear my prayer;<\/p>\n

give ear to my pleas for grace in your faithfulness;<\/p>\n

answer me in your righteousness.<\/p>\n

2 And do not enter into judgment with your servant,<\/p>\n

for no one living is righteous before you.<\/p>\n

Complaints <\/em><\/strong><\/p>\n

3 For the enemy pursued my soul;<\/p>\n

he crushed to the ground my life,<\/p>\n

he caused me to dwell in dark places like those long dead.<\/p>\n

4 And my spirit fainted upon me;<\/p>\n

Within me my heart is desolated.<\/p>\n

Confidence based on God<\/em><\/strong><\/p>\n

5 I remembered the days of old,<\/p>\n

I meditated on all your work,<\/p>\n

about the deed of your hands I will talk.<\/p>\n

6 I stretched out my hands to you;<\/p>\n

my soul like thirsty ground for you.\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 Selah<\/p>\n

Call for Help<\/em><\/strong><\/p>\n

7 Hasten, answer me, YHWH;<\/p>\n

my spirit fails.<\/p>\n

Do not hide your face from me,<\/p>\n

or I shall be like those who go down to the Pit.<\/p>\n

8 Cause me to hear in the morning your steadfast love,<\/p>\n

for in you I trusted.<\/p>\n

Cause me to know which way to you,<\/p>\n

for to you I lifted up my soul.<\/p>\n

9 Deliver me from my enemies, YHWH;<\/p>\n

to you I looked for cover.<\/p>\n

10 Cause me to learn to do your will,<\/p>\n

for you are my God.<\/p>\n

Your spirit is good,<\/p>\n

may it guide me on level ground.<\/p>\n

Confidence based on God <\/em><\/strong><\/p>\n

11 For your name\u2019s sake, YHWH, you preserve my life.<\/p>\n

In your righteousness you bring out of adversity my soul.<\/p>\n

12 And in your steadfast love exterminate my enemies,<\/p>\n
