Psalm 51 (MLV)<\/h3>\n

REPENTANCE<\/u><\/strong><\/p>\n

CALL FOR CLEANSING: based on person of God<\/em><\/strong><\/p>\n

1 Give grace to me, O God, according to your steadfast love;<\/p>\n

according to your abundant compassion, wipe out my transgressions!<\/p>\n

2 Wash me abundantly from my iniquity,<\/p>\n

and from my sin purify me!<\/p>\n

\u00a0<\/em><\/strong><\/p>\n

\u00a0CONFESSION OF SIN\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 <\/em><\/strong><\/p>\n

3 For my transgressions, I, I acknowledge<\/p>\n

and my sin before me continually.<\/p>\n

4 Against you, you alone, have I sinned,<\/p>\n

and the evil in your eyes I have done.<\/p>\n

so you are righteous in your sentence, blameless in your judgment.<\/p>\n

5 See, in iniquity I was born,<\/p>\n

and in sin my mother conceived me.<\/p>\n

6 See, truth you delight in hidden parts;<\/p>\n

and in a secret chamber, wisdom may you cause me to acknowledge.<\/p>\n

CALL FOR CLEANSING: based on problem<\/em><\/strong><\/p>\n

7 May you unsin me with hyssop, and I shall be purified;<\/p>\n

May you wash me, and I shall be whiter than snow.<\/p>\n

8 May you cause me to hear exultation and gladness;<\/p>\n

May they rejoice, the bones you have crushed.<\/p>\n

9 Hide your face from my sins,<\/p>\n

and all my iniquities wipe out!<\/p>\n

RESTORATION <\/u><\/strong><\/p>\n

\u00a0<\/strong><\/p>\n

CALL FOR RENEWAL: based on problem<\/em><\/strong><\/p>\n

10 A pure heart create for me, O God,<\/p>\n

and a steadfast spirit renew within me!<\/p>\n

11 Do not cast me away from your face,<\/p>\n

and your holy spirit do not take from me.<\/p>\n

12 Cause to turn back for me the exultation of your salvation!<\/p>\n

And a willing spirit may you sustain in me.<\/p>\n

VOW TO PRAISE<\/em><\/strong><\/p>\n

13 Let me teach transgressors your ways,<\/p>\n

and sinners to you will return.<\/p>\n

14 Deliver me from blood, O God, God of my salvation,<\/p>\n

my tongue will cry out your righteousness.<\/p>\n

15 Lord, my lips may you open,<\/p>\n

and my mouth will declare your praise.<\/p>\n

16 For you have no delight in sacrifice;<\/p>\n

and were I to give a burnt offering, you would not be pleased.<\/p>\n

17 The sacrifice of God is a spirit broken;<\/p>\n

A heart broken and crushed, God, you will not despise.<\/p>\n

18-19 CALL FOR RESTORATION OF COMMUNITY<\/em><\/strong><\/p>\n

18 Do good in your pleasure to Zion;<\/p>\n

May you build the walls of Jerusalem,<\/p>\n

19 then you will delight in sacrifices of righteousness, burnt offering & whole,<\/p>\n

then bulls will be offered on your sacrifice altar.<\/p>\n
