PSALM 38 (MLV)<\/h3>\n

 <\/p>\n

CALL TO GOD based on problems<\/em><\/strong><\/p>\n

1 YHWH, do not in your anger correct me,<\/p>\n

and do not in your wrath discipline me.<\/p>\n

2 For your arrows descended into me,<\/p>\n

and your hand descended upon me.<\/p>\n

 <\/p>\n

CONFESSION <\/strong><\/em><\/p>\n

3 There is no wholeness in my flesh because of your indignation;<\/p>\n

there is no wellness in my bones because of my sin.<\/p>\n

4 For my iniquities passed over my head;<\/p>\n

like a weighty burden, they are too heavy for me.<\/p>\n

5 They stank, they rot, my wounds<\/p>\n

because of my foolishness;<\/p>\n

6 I am bent, I am bowed down exceedingly;<\/p>\n

all day long in darkness I walked about.<\/p>\n

7 For my loins\/stupidity are filled with burning\/shame,<\/p>\n

and there is no wholeness in my flesh.<\/p>\n

 <\/p>\n

COMPLAINT about self <\/strong><\/em><\/p>\n

8 I am numb, and I am crushed exceedingly;<\/p>\n

I roared because of the growling of my heart.<\/p>\n

9 My Lord, before you all my longing;<\/p>\n

and my sighing from you not hidden.<\/p>\n

10 My heart palpitated, my strength abandoned me;<\/p>\n

and the light of my eyes, even that has gone from me.<\/p>\n

 <\/p>\n

COMPLAINT about enemies <\/strong><\/em><\/p>\n

11 My friends & companions from before my affliction they would stand,<\/p>\n

and those near me from far they stood.<\/p>\n

12 and they set snares, those seeking my life;<\/p>\n

and those searching my trouble, they speak my destruction,<\/p>\n

and deceit all day long they murmur.<\/p>\n

13 But I am like the deaf, I cannot hear;<\/p>\n

and like the mute, whose mouth cannot open.<\/p>\n

14 and I have become like a man who is not hearing,<\/p>\n

and in whose mouth there is no retort.<\/p>\n

 <\/p>\n

CONFIDENCE because YHWH will answer <\/em><\/strong><\/p>\n

15 For it is for you, YHWH, I waited;<\/p>\n

You, you will answer, my Lord my God.<\/p>\n

16 For I said, \u201cLest they will rejoice over me,<\/p>\n

when my foot slipped, against me they boasted;\u201d<\/p>\n

17 For me to stumble, it is established,<\/p>\n

and my pain is before me continually;<\/p>\n

18 For my iniquity I will declare,<\/p>\n

I will dread my sin;<\/p>\n

19 and my mortal enemies are mighty,<\/p>\n

and many are those hating me with falsehood.<\/p>\n

20 and those repaying me evil for good,<\/p>\n

they attack me for my pursuing good.<\/p>\n

CALL TO GOD based on person of YHWH <\/strong><\/em><\/p>\n

21 Do not abandon me, YHWH;<\/p>\n

My God, do not be far from me;<\/p>\n

22 Hasten to my aid,<\/p>\n

My Lord, my Salvation!<\/p>\n
