Postgraduate studies have been offered at Trinity Theological College since 1966. Initially, postgraduate programmes were conducted under the umbrella of the Southeast Asia Graduate School of Theology (SEAGST). But in 1993, Trinity went on to set up its own postgraduate School. This grew by leaps and bounds, and the need for a restructuring became increasingly evident. With the move of the college in July 2001 to a new campus, it was deemed appropriate that the name be changed to the School of Postgraduate Studies (SPS) to coincide with a new phase in the history of the college. TTC continues to be an active member of ATESEA and offers the Master of Theology and Doctor of Theology degrees under SEAGST. The SPS offers Master of Ministry (MMin), Master of Theology (MTh), Master of Letters (MLitt) and Doctor of Theology (DTh) degrees. The latter two are research degrees.
