3. On the
division of historical period, I suggest we limit our scope to
document the history of the present national churches. This
is why I take 1910 (the starting point of modern ecumenical
movement) as a convenient starting date, and end with the close of
the 20th century. The SE and E Asian regions are
radical changed by the Pacific War experience. The birth of
ASEAN in 1967 bound came to existence in 1967. It united the
SE Asian region, and offered new opportunities for intraregional
cooperation.
